TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
I read books about the Constitution in grade school. What a fantastic ship and story.
Naps-R-Gud!
Yeah, that ship is pretty cool. The gun deck is amazing. Just imagine that small area in the heat of battle. Oooof.

Afternoon, Woods. Followed the front wheel and meandered for quite a bit. Wound up at Fort Reno in El Reno, OK. The fort is no longer an active military installation but open for sightseeing. The horse that drew Kennedy's caisson, Blackjack, was sired and raised there. Couple of pics of interest...
During WWII approx. 1300 German and Italian POWs were housed at Fort Reno. They built this chapel...
..
There is a cemetery on the grounds. As you can see the American section is walled and a section of German and Italian burials are separated. There is a step over ladder on the wall. Looked to me to be about 80-90 burials in that section. Interestingly one Italian marker had an additional marker indicated he was disinterred in 2000 and returned to Italy. Somber place.

Hey, Denny, howdy. Not up to your standards but I snapped this when I stopped across from the chapel at Fort Reno...
Changed the spark plugs eh?
