He said they don't know how long that tire has been running on low pressure which can break the cords. You fill it to pressure and it could blow on you.

I take it that they were also against using starting fluid to seat the bead as well. I dont do split rims but everything else is okay.

Good morning Woodsmeisters!!

In the high 20s and sunny. Supposed to be in the 40s the rest of the week. Can Spring be around the corner? Supposed to put my trike in a bike show this weekend. Hope the rain that's forecast takes some of the salt off the road.

I saw a tire blow on a semi's trailer, looked like a small explosion, rubber chunks everywhere, knocked the pickup next to it into the next lane. A Vietnamese working in an Army motorpool just down the road from my company area got launched up on a roof when he was filling a split rim - while he sat on it. Wonder how many G's the takeoff was...

I've seen two tires blow like that while on the highway. Yes, it's a huge explosion and shakes the **** out of the semi or trailer.

Afternoon tire changers and safety minded people.

Also howdy woods with a hearty lunch time check in.

Sun is shining here today. 55* at the moment.
