Tim, winters would be a lot more fun here if the roads looked like that instead of salt soup. And frozen salt rivers when the temp really dropped. Drove rear wheel drive cars with crappy summer tires on roads like that in the '60s, and when you knew how to drive on it and used some common sense with speed, wasn't a big deal.

Hey Mike. The one picture without the sleds is actually one sled wide. It's a nasty side hill. If you drop down, you're not getting back up. One part of the hill slid a bit too. South facing with rapid rising temp. Made a small Avalanche we had to cross. Paula did not enjoy that part. I knew it was there and didn't tell her. Apparently she was swearing at me the whole time. Can you believe that? Me either! What made it better was we had to go back across it.
Told her afterwards that now she knows what to expect and won't be scared to cross it.
