TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Little bit of bike wrenching the past couple days, might get to take some grandkids for a ride this weekend. Seems like life has been getting in the way of doing things like that. So far can't figure out how to get the seat off the Ural so I can put a new battery in, manuals don't say and youtube videos are all different kinds of seats from what I have. I'll figure it out eventually. Some Harleys aren't exactly obvious, either. Every brand of motorcycle has a few "what the hell were the engineers thinking of?" features. The amount of motorcycle that has to be removed to replace an air filter on one of my Hondas is ridiculous. I have a map for installing/removing plastic on my Honda sidecar rig with pieces numbered up to 12. If you have to remove #7 to reach something, you have to remove 8-12 to remove 7. They're mostly layered instead of just butting up to each other. Sorry Honda, I think that's a bit on the stupid side. At least on a Ural most pieces can be removed by themselves. Honda Goldwings and Sabres (80's V4s) are the worst I've ever worked on.
uh huh.
Tuesday Morning after my 8:30 am Dr. Appointment. We will first head to Trish’s son’s house in southern Michigan to drop off her car, so when she flies home at the end of October, she will have the car waiting.
Good morning Chuck, Mick and all. It is 60F outside. I can't remember it being this cool this early. Iam sucked in the cool front and it has remained. I love it. I think I will head out back and fire up the pile of tree debris from the storm I have stacked in the fit circle.
