Evening Greg. The ribs are continuing to cook, they’ve been in the smoker for 4 hours now and are at 150-155°. Gonna sauce them in the last half hour of cooking as the sauce I have has sugar and molasses in it. I have not cooked ribs in 30 years so this is a learning cycle for me. As I recall, the last ones I cooked were AFU so I haven’t revisited them until today.

That big tree has a brother, which is filled out better
I have been chopping (big) limbs off them for a few years for firewood
But the back one (closest in this pic) I want to top as it's just an ugly tall tree
The other one I will cut down to maybe 20' & then let it regrow
I have been looking at renting a 65' bucket to cut them down to size

1st year I moved in we had cold day - below 32 in early October
And every single leaf on both trees dropped, it was a green carpet
And there were more leaves/branches back then

I was really good at that 30 years ago.

EDIT: Whether or not that streak continues remains to be seen.

How much property are you on? I don’t have room for 200 trees, only have an acre and change.

I only have 6/10 of an acre LOL
This chain link borders my neighbor
For privacy for the pool (his) I have planted about 30 sm Rose of Sharon trees & a dogwood, along this area & to the right out of pic
The sm ROS I will let grown to about 8' tall & cut them to force them to grow into a flowering hedge
Also planted 4 Butterfly bushes & 2 lilac bushes
Tallest tree now is about 6', pic was taken in 2019

Yeah, your planting zone is wildly different than ours.
