Chuck, I didn't realize bank robbing was going to be part of your revised retirement plan.

Good morning all. Working from home today. Keeping an eye on the latest track of Ian. I think we will see some bad weather here in our area but hopefully dodge to main event.

Noontime fly by....checking in and lurking.....

In our subdivision, around 70 houses, I'm the only one with a flag pole. US flag, POW/MIA flag, and big block S (MSU) flag during football season. There are probably 3 or 4 who have one of those flag mount to the house poles that do fly. I know 1 for sure is a Vet.

Fly your flags, observe the etiquette, and Godspeed! We salute you. I don't have a flag pole but I would like one for that exact reason, to fly our flag.

Really pretty simple. I had a friend who worked for a pipe and tubing company. He made me a deal on a length of 2" sch 40 pipe and 1-1/2" sch 40 pipe. Got a reducer and ordered a pully mount that fit the 1-1/2" pipe. Had a friend with a power auger bore a 4' deep hole and placed 3" PVC pipe in the ground with a little bit of gravel and some pre-mixed cement. Then had our shop machine a 2" hole in an end cap that was placed on top of the PVC pipe in the ground. Then machined cap onto the pole, then set pole into the ground and tapped the cover onto the PVC. The 2" pipe is 20ft, I cut the 1-1/2 to about 8ft. so I have about 23-25' tall pole. Flags go up the week or two before Memorial Day and come down after Veterans Day.
I have a question.... I just noticed the 5 small stars at the bottom of the TOAK thread. What are those and when did they get placed???
