Major violence in the tomato section of the garden this morning, and now I have a bloody corpse to dispose of. I just hope that squirrel was the culprit that's been taking bites out of my largest tomatoes when they get ripe. Don't like to but have been picking them before they're fully red. Or orange, have some of those, too.
May be the last hot day of the year, might hit 90, and then the two hottest days in the 10 day forecast are 71 degrees, and the coolest 58. Time to get busy on the remainder of the cut down trees and exercise the 1200 and the 600 (Honda sidecar rig). Audrey wants to take the kids riding in farmland. I'll drive the bike and she'll Tesla the kids there. Might swap vehicles for the drive home. I haven't asked about that yet...

1200 is the sportster, sidecar we'll be using this time is the Honda Silverwing scooter, 600cc, with a California sidecar. I only take the kids in sidecars. Oldest grandson has been on a number of bikes including the sportster, but only in the neighborhood residential streets. Past years we've taken the little ones in the Ural sidecar rig, and just in my cul de sac with the Harley. I'd like to use the Harley next year, need to replace at least one lifter first but will do all of them when I take it apart. Hope it's just a lifter rattling.
The sidecar fleet minus an old very non running Ural I'd like to restore some day. Should pick one and sell the rest, but I like them all. Nearly 20 grand in old sidecars, kind of silly.
Granddaughter feeling the wind for the first time (wind... about 25mph in the cul de sac) on the Harley.
Her again with younger brother in the Honda rig, just around the yard.
Same kids in the Ural, farm road, temp: freezing. Getting the last ride of the year. She didn't want to quit, but the rest of us did.
Daughter Audrey driving the Ural, oldest grandson
Swapped around, he's driving now and she's in the sidecar
