I've been stuck over 8 hours, overnight once in the old Dallas Love terminal, and a few times gave up and got a motel or went home. I hate flying airlines, all that waiting, bad smells, bad food, seats too small for people 80 lbs and a foot shorter than me, and I've even had to fix their plane before we could get out of a small airport with no mechanics. What you really don't want to hear (and I have) is a flight attendant whispering to you that the pilot wants to see you about a little problem with the landing gear...
