TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
I'm here!
So I was the victim of a crime today. Someone broke into my rental heap. I went out to leave early this morning and the driver's door was ajar. As was the back door. I thought "Uh-oh......" Sure enough.....glove box open, center console open. Looked in the trunk and was happy to see all my tools still there except my Milwaukee laser level. Turns out that was in the back seat. Brand new in the case. Can't believe they didn't take it. Near as I can tell, the only thing they took was the America the beautiful park pass Cheryl got me. Bastards.
The backstory is I saw someone taking a picture of my house as I was returning with the dog from a walk last night. I got a very good look at the guy and the car as he drove away, but couldn't see he license number. I jumped in my car to check him out, but he got out of there pretty quick. We made sure to turn all the outdoor lights on and make sure everything was secure, including locking the car doors.
Called the cop non-emergency line this morning and got voicemail that they were closed. Left a message and they did get back to me. I gave them a description and low and behold, they did catch a "car prowler" nearby. They were very interested in the park pass because they are getting a warrant to access the car and if they find it, he's in a bit of trouble. Battleground is a small community and they will be more than happy to spend taxpayer dollars making him miserable as opposed to Portland.
Funny thing is, he left this -
I know what it is, but I don't know what use it would be to a thief. Maybe CSI-@NoRegerts can crack this case?

Good morning all. I am down at the St Pete office as usual for a hump day. There is a young engineer intern coming in to take an exam to get certified to be an Earthwork Level 1 inspector. There is a written exam and a proficiency exam for taking and documenting density tests. It has been a busy week. Everyone ride safe.

Morning all. Morning Jits then time to pack!
Dam shame Bob. I hate thieves. Got my cameras but that does little good here in this state.
