@nevada72 We recovered a (what I believe to be) a 1970s model Honda CB 350. The VIN plate on the right side of the neck is missing. Is there a VIN somewhere else I could to track it?

the criminal investigation begins.
the vin should also be stamped into the frame near where the tag was

That's what I thought. I checked there already, and didn't see it. There is a number stamped on the engine but it's so badly worn I cannot read it. There's no sign the VIN was destroyed, just missing. Otherwise, I wouldn't even be asking.

yeah the engine stamp is cb350e. Not much there. Lol
