TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Several police and a big firetruck in the cul de sac, next door neighbor left a hot grill on her wooden deck. Now it has about a 6'x6' hole in the middle of it, burned about a 2' circle, but the firemen chainsawed well around that to reach the hot coals that had burned through. Lucky another neighbor with a better view of it than I have saw it, didn't get to burn long.
Sounds like they are now able to drop a hot tub in place of the bbq! Half of the demo work is done.

Chuck, when you get back drop me a line and we can go riding. We contemplated the Thunder Beach event in Panama Beach but some friends had a conflict with those dates so we opted for the same ol' same ol'. I have never been to Panama City Beach during the bike event. Beach, bikes, tee shirts, seafood, *****, it's all the same anyway.
Instead of being able to run all three ACs off the generator as before ( I spent 5k on new equipment) now I can only run one at a time while on generator power.

My next door neighbors to the west are nice folks. He is right at 80 and she may be slightly more youthful. He has a 1979 Corvette that still has less than 500 miles on it. Today I was out in the backyard and so was he. We started conversing over the fence as we often do. I had seen him driving the Vette up the street and back SundayI told him it sounded awesome. He then told me he just got a brand new one that he ordered 15 months ago. He invited me over to see it. WOW! That thing looks like a space ship. The rear spoiler, the side lower trim and the front lower trim is carbon fiber made by the company that does it for the speedy BMW's. He said Chevy didn't offer it. 8-speed auto or manual transmission, no clutch. He actually called it something else and not a transmission. I know nothing about such cars except that I would love to drive it. He said it had over 500HP and 0-60 in 2 point something seconds. It actually had a trunk space and the engine in the rear and a trunk in the front too. Red leather seats. American awesomeness! 70th anniversary model.

Afternoon, guys.
Jeff, that is what is called DCT-Dual Clutch Transmission. Works as a manual or full automatic. Superfast shifting and efficiency. No sliding between gears as in a normal automatic trans.
