Several police and a big firetruck in the cul de sac, next door neighbor left a hot grill on her wooden deck. Now it has about a 6'x6' hole in the middle of it, burned about a 2' circle, but the firemen chainsawed well around that to reach the hot coals that had burned through. Lucky another neighbor with a better view of it than I have saw it, didn't get to burn long.

Won’t get to Florida until November one. But there might be a few Woods near the pan handle just before that .

My copter days were over before those new ones came out. I think I may have been better off in a Huey when bullets hit, there's a bunch of hydraulic lines in the ceiling of a Blackhawk, and no hydraulically boosted helicopter is fun when it loses hydraulics. At least the troop carrier Huey versions I flew in were like a car that lost power steering with hydraulic failure; the gunship models relied on hydraulic power, kiss yer butt goodbye in those, and pretty much anything built after. The Russians have found out against an enemy with modern anti aircraft equipment, a helicopter makes good target practice, I would not like to do what I did in the 60s today!

When it comes to dyi projects, a man’s got to know when the stress out weighs any potential benefit . My soon to be new motto is less work, more beer. If it costs too much to hire it done, you don’t need it that bad.

Are you throwing in the towel? Did your convo with customer service not solve the issues? Does your shore power work and does it charge the batteries?

Darwin is sleeping on the job. A whole family was wiped out when a divorcée’s boyfriend threw ashes into a paper bag left in the mud room. That had to hurt the man who was summarily thrown out of his own home because of the divorce

When I was crewing and fixing HH-3F's in the USCG we had a sign on the shop door in Kodiak - Helicopter= 10,000 parts flying in close formation.

They gave up on troubleshooting and were going to send a new inverter under warranty to me. Being as hardheaded as I am, I decided to scrap the idea of wiring the generator in parallel and just put it thru the transfer switch the way the factory wired it. Low and behold the inverter recognizes the input. I called them back and said don’t bother send a new one . But that doesn’t end the issues. The inverter now sees the two in phase AC inputs from the generator and automatically disables L2 ( normal response) .
