She and I got into a spirited discussion on mass shootings in the US. She want Abbot out of office because he doesn't support homosexual marriage and doesn't care that Beto would have everyone's guns, because more guns are used in crimes than anything else. She "quoted" 13 mass shootings a week but was unable to define what a mass shooting was, thinks it's crazy that an 18 year old can buy an AR or an AK, because no one NEEDS a rifle like that, and drunk driving doesn't kill as many children as guns do.
She's a FKING liberal. Harsh or not, I don't give a ****.
I tried to show her the stats and she didn't care to see. She reads **** like NPR and God-only-knows-what-else. She got pissed when she asked me, "How many crimes do guns cause each day?" and I said, "Zero. People commit crimes, not objects."

As a youth, it’s easy to be an uninformed idealist. Life will crush that **** right out of her unless she marries a rich lawyer and moves to Minneapolis.

I'm not giving up on her. I can only do my best to teach her to think for herself. Right now she doesn't...

Laser treatment is on tap to lower eye pressure. UGH!
