When I toured it the thing that impressed me the most was those big engines with the connecting rods exposed. You could see the crank anchored at the bottom, and then it was struts supporting the heads on top. I've love to see a big marine engine like that running. I suspect it wasn't quiet, either. I've got some photos of the upper decks somewhere.
It's funny you say that. A few weeks back we arrested that guy after a crazy pursuit. I wouldn't put it past Russ to do the same thing though.
Heard it on the Jim Rome show today, first thought in my head was Russ.

Wanted to go on these, but wasn't going to leave that stuff on the bike. In my ship touring days they weren't set up fancy like many today, toured a submarine in Oklahoma that had the bow grounded and the stern deeper in the water, so you walked on an angled deck. This was the battleship Alabama in Mobile, don't remember the sub's name.
