Halito Woods. Finally home from my weekend. Got home earlier this afternoon, cleaned up and sat down for a nap. Feel a bit more rested!!! I'll have to take some short trips to catch up here, but just thought I'd drop in and start a little lurking.....

Then I tried grabbing what was left and snapped the bolt further down. I tried drilling and using an extracor bit and snapped the bit. Finally, I tried welding a nut to what little was left and used a wrench to back it out. It snapped. I took it to a shop and they couldn't do any better.

Well I'm screwed. We can't drill the stainless out and I don't have the ability to weld it. The stainless work hardens and gets harder than the bit I'm using to cut. So I'm done.

Yup Chris. I use a 120,000 tensil strength arc welding rod to weld a nut on and wood have to pre heat the threads before removing the bolt. SS can be a pain.
