TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
You got your wish. I'm no longer using this pipe. I changed the oil this morning and heard it rattling a little. The muffler was just a little twisted, so I decided to remove the bolts. I let it cool some and went to take them out. They turned maybe half a turn and locked up. The heads ended up snapping off. 1/2 combination wreck, so not much force. Then I tried grabbing what was left and snapped the bolt further down. I tried drilling and using an extracor bit and snapped the bit. Finally, I tried welding a nut to what little was left and used a wrench to back it out. It snapped. I took it to a shop and they couldn't do any better.
Let the pigeons come to you……

I'm going to talk to my neighbor and use his mill. See if I can drill these out and tap for a new bolt. That's my last thought and honestly, I'm so pissed I'm about to just give up.
yeah it’s one thing when ya twist off a bolt/nut on a piece that’s getting shitcanned quite another when you need to salvage the offending part.
