On that house for a 30 yr term payments would be up an additional $300/mo. on a 200k loan. Eliminates a lot of lesser income buyers. At the same time, there's a s shortage of decent rentals available at reasonable prices. I kept my rents low because I had good tenants but sitting empty is costing me money now. I just rented one side for $200 more than I was getting before and can easily get $300 more for the other side.......and I get to keep the garages..
