Mark, I don’t think I saw the result of Benjamin’s Championship game?

Hoping for a speedy recovery, Chris. Like Bob said, hip replacements come a long way. Buddy got his done 3 years ago and had him up, walking an hour after he woke up. The biggest thing they told him was the exercises/rehab and the meds. He quit taking the meds a couple months after the surgery because he didn’t want to rely on them. The nurse gave him a severe tongue lashing saying that the meds are supposed to take the pain away. They’re used so when you can walk normally instead of compensating for the pain…which would stretch and heal everything wrong.

At least that’s up here in Canada.

 

Last night was busy. Smoked a pork shoulder for the weekend. Going to finish it in a Dutch oven over a fire to make pulled pork. Then, finished putting Paula’s Spyder back together, changed the oil and filters. By the time I was done, it was 10 pm.

Tim, I haven’t cooked anything of consequence this summer. Been traveling so much that I just haven’t had time. Your cook sounds good though.
