There is a news story this morning about an 87 year old man driving the wrong way on the highway at 3 am and was hit and killed by a semi. They have given no name of the driver as of yet. Makes me wonder but I have no idea why he would be out at 3 am?
I've gone out for rides after midnite just so I enjoy the roads without being surrounded by cars. Last time I did that was in a snowstorm on a sidecar rig, real peaceful, but just in the local neighborhood, get outta town and the killer deer are after you. A semi at 87 doesn't sound too bad to me, my nightmare scenario would be sharing a little room in a nursing home for several years. I know it sucks for the family and friends, though.
Saw a tv show a while back, could see trouble coming for the main character & his gf, he was getting interested in a purty young thing. Sure enough, she got 'tween them. Not the way I expected, though, had a scene of the 3 of them waking up in bed, & she was 'tween them...
Afternoon, Al. Cold front seems here to stay. Currently 22 degrees.
20's here too. You can tell Jose to "SHADDUP" if he comes on.. Finally got the Kaw running at 98%, been going crazy with it. narrowed ot down to timing advancer sticking. Took it all apart, put it in ultrasonic cleaner, relubed and greased it and voila! Check for air leakson boots and now with a decent idle , I find a leak between carb and intake. Gotta pull carbs off to fix it...PITA but I'm getting good at it...took them off enough times.. Have to keep reminding myself that I bought it to have something to do in the winter.....

Mike, I agree...seeing what my father went through with cancer 28 yrs ago and my mother in a home now....I'll take a semi....or a bottle of sleeping pills and a bottle of Scotch. In fact, those are the instructions I gave to my oldest son.
Yep, despite the few aggravations, it's been a fun project for a first motorcycle restoration. A lot less parts and space than a car,too.....and a lot cheaper.

If that solution was good enough for Hemingway, should be good enough for TOAKrs !
