We used to stand a three section extension ladder up with ropes tied to the top section to stabilize it. We then climbed up one side, over the top, and down the other side with full turnout gear and a scott pack on. That **** would never fly today!

Nope, not at all. They have issues (OH&S) working with live fire now.
They used to teach Hose Wrestling. They took that out of the course too.

Unfortunately, she has been gone for awhile now! At 87, he could still have been looking for her I guess.

Re-mornin. I am reading a book about the Anheuser-Busch empire. Fascinating and like all those types of families, lots of behind the scenes bullshit, influence peddling, womanizing and booze. The last 2 make it a great read.
