TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Chuck, I was glad to be able to find a tire! Called this one “HD” dealer in Vernal, UT. He didn’t even know what a CVO Limited was. They were a “power sports” dealer, side by sides, and oh yeah, a Harley too.
I've worked with that guy!
Sorry we couldn’t get by today. We went out the west side of Denver this morning.

Right ... Okee Dokee ... Work? ... You? :>)
No sweat, just glad things worked out with the tire. I think I had to do the same thing the Sunday before the first Woodstock. Cost me $350'ish back then, I think
I swear, there is no evidence to the contrary!

Argh, today's thunderstorms didn't put a drop on me. Carol said she got plenty. Tap water on the garden again, lawn is mostly brown but I don't water that. Or mow it, isn't growing much. Took oldest (13) grandson out for a pizza lunch, very enjoyable. New pizza place near my daughter's house is the best I've eaten at in MN, maybe even anywhere. Expensive, but what isn't. At least I couldn't say I could make better, like most of them around here.
Russ, sounds like that tire might not have finished the trip, and sure didn't have the traction it should. Fortunate noticing it and finding a dealer like that. I still haven't changed the back tire on the sportster, but haven't put many miles on it since Arkansas, no trips past fairly easy trailer retrieval. They're getting old now, too, will change both before doing anything serious with it. Plan on getting Avons again.

You should have offered to let him ride bitch with you to go get a tire.
