G'Evening, Woods....crazy day ! Started out fishing with Zeke, come in and get a phone call from my family Doctor's office..." Dr. got the blood test results back and he doesn't like the potassium numbers. He wants you to get to an Emergency Room immediately for more tests and treatment"...WTF !! Call my wife and tell her what's going, pack up Zeke and I'm heading home. Call #1 son to let him know. He says " When you leave the house with Mom, call me and I'll make a call". Waiting room is packed with 25 people ahead of me, patients on stretchers in the hall, every room is tied up and they have a lot of them. Sit down, ten minutes later they call me to check me in. Half hour wait and I get called to draw blood. Son texts me " As soon as room opens , it's yours. Told them that I don't want you waiting in a hall"... a little while later, I'm in a nice comfortable room......it pays to "Know" people!

More blood work, calls between ER Dr. and my kidney specialist, they decided they can give me a prescription to lower the potassium. One med I'm on, lowered my BP but raised my potassium to dangerous levels. All in all, I spent close to 5 hours in there. When we left, there were people still waiting who were there before I was. Kinda getting tired of this BS, but got lucky again..

 

Al, I'm glad they were able to catch you and get this addressed. I'd like a chance to get together again sometime! Seriously - thanks for the heads up and good outcome. You take care -

 

Damn CuzAl! Crazy ****!

They changed one of my BP meds and it got so low I had the chills even with sweats, a beanie and 2 blankets. It was awful.
