Morning gents, from the lap of luxury! Cheryl and I are now staying at the Homewood Suites on the river in Vancouver. Pretty nice suite with a fireplace and walking distance to alcohol. It's a much nicer setup than where we were. Had to scramble and rent a 10x30 storage unit. Shoved the trailer filled with stuff and the three bikes in there last night.
In other news, our loan officer **** the bed and totally screwed some stuff up including not locking in my rate. That and after waiving the appraisal, then required an appraisal. All of which was going to delay closing and ultimately cost us many thousands of dollars. Cheryl saved the day and applied for a loan at a local credit union, spoke with the loan officer, and got us a quick approval at 3/4 a point LOWER than the beginning rate the loan shark gave us, plus 10 grand LESS that we need to bring to closing! So lemons into lemonade all thanks to my lovely wife. Oh, and they immediately waived the appraisal.
That's one helluva deal for that agent! Cheryl has done one party deals for half that because it's a slam dunk. Maybe twist her arm a bit?

G'Afternoon, Woods.....quick trip home to show the house next door with a realtor. Even though the house is not listed with a realtor, I gave one realtor a "one day, one person" listing . If she sells the house, she gets 3% commission from me and 3% from buyer. I raised the price 2 1/2% though..... a few other of my terms... I have to be there, I have to talk to the buyer and I have to like the buyer if they're going to live next door to me!
