Only got up to 94 today, but I didn't leave the airconditioning. Guessers are saying a couple days next week might see 100, I won't leave the airconditioning then, either.

Lot of people have no idea how weather can beat up an aircraft. I've seen the rate of climb go instantly from zero to pegged, makes you wonder how much the wings can take...

Feeling a lot better, runs stopped this morning, been able to eat a little. Stomach still feels off, but other than tired, feeling comfortable enough. Probably won't be doing much for at least a couple days. Probably lucky I evidently didn't get what the grandkids and grandma in law got, they vomited for a few days and I didn't do that at all. It's easier getting rid of the mess while sitting down.

It was hot and miserable this evening. We had our Flag Retirement at 6pm. I bet it was pushing low 90's. Then we had 3 burn barrels. Placing the flags in the burn barrels, the heat, the smoke, the smell..... it was crappy. Took us an hour to burn all the flags. When we were done, I was sweat wet head to toe. It. Was. Miserable. But something that needs to be done. And as usual, we found several "new" flags in the batch. We can't figure out why some people dispose of a good, almost new, or new flag. And no, none were burial flags. We pull those out and make good use of them. The good flags, not burial flags!

Denny, sounds like there should be an easier way to burn those flags.
