I think I may still be using too many things on the bod. It sure complains enough, anyway.
I've found out a few things about shoveling. The hole always has to be deeper. A tiny stone can stop a shovel from going any deeper, and my back yard has 7,602,864 stones and some aren't tiny. There are roots you can't dig through even when the nearest tree is 40 feet away. A big pile of dirt comes from a little hole. If you take out a cubic foot of dirt, it takes more than that to refill it. If you let dirt completely dry, it turns to concrete.

Evening gents! Heading out for my B-day dinner at Le Pigeon (sounds appetizing right?) in Portland. We're staying nearby in a hotel to eliminate the drinking/driving thing. Much debauchery has been promised. We'll see.
