So I spent the morning at the clinic. The podiatrist and I had a good conversation. She offered couple of suggestions or options. We discussed a cortisone shot, removal of the bone spur, and fusing of bone. Told her I ride bikes, we have a trip scheduled, and plan to ride during the summer. After discussion, I opted for the shot and perhaps another in a couple months. Removing the bone spur would only be temporary....a few years. And the fusion would eliminate the possibility of the bone spur returning. She could not schedule me for the spur removal and have enough heal time before our ride, and the fusion would be 8 weeks in a cast, 3-4 weeks in walking boot. So that's out for the summer. Opted for the shot, and we will discuss, and plan, later in the fall for the fusion. At least I won't miss much riding this summer. Physical Therapy session was a few excercises, and a follow up call in a few weeks if I still felt I needed more. So I'll suffer for the rest of the summer. In the meantime, my lawn needs mowing desperately! Maybe give it a shot tomorrow. Just a tad difficult to do a lot of walking right now.
The joys of old age. And racing motorcycles in my younger years. At least the cortisone shot and using capzasin cream is helping to relieve the major pain right now. And I ain't looking for sympathy....read my bottom line!!

Wait until Sleepy Joe gets a hold of them !
Afternoon Woods. Just sort of a blah day today. Rode down to BK this morning, listened to all the BS, and rode back home. All in all an uneventful day.

Good evening all. Face off in about an hour and I am stoked. The Lightning sure turned this hillbilly ride runner into a rabid hockey fan. I have to don the regalia and head out to the sports bar. Hockey fan or not I am not paying for cable TV. There was never suppose to be commercials on pay TV. It's like being stuck in traffic on the toll expressway. A virtual crime against humanity I tell ya.
Evening Woodsnitzes. Busy catching up on chores today. Got all my new garage cabinets unboxed, called the company who made them to let them know they shorted me ONE freaking shelf support. Took all the cardboard packing to the dump and called Mick to confirm that I had not been eaten by hogs. Took down all the temporary shelves in the garage and spackled all the holes. Tomorrow is painting day since it will be raining.
