Ironically, just finished a burrito. Forgot what day it was

 

Hey, Greg. packing some stuff to take up to the lake tomorrow. I'm selling the small fishing boat that I bought a couple years ago. Have some guy hot to buy it , so I'm making a special trip up to met him. I told my wife that I'll be back Sunday ......

Here's something that I find hard to believe. Got another inquiry about the boat. #1 son put it out there for $4,000. Get a message from a guy asking if I would consider $3,400. I call him back and here's the conversation.

Buyer: would you accept $3,400?
ME: Well, $3,600 is my bottom price, so we're not that far apart. I'll split the difference with you since it's kind of in my way. So, give me $3,500 and it's yours
BUYER: Well, I don't know. My wife is sleeping now and I'll have to ask her.....
Me " REALLY ???? Don't you have a little side stash fund that your wife doesn't know about? Throw in $200 and tell her you got it for $3,300!
BUYER: No.
Me: Ok, then talk to your wife and get back to me.

I'd be embarrassed to tell anybody that I had to check with my wife when I was buying something...much less for a $100 !!
I decided that if the guy calls back and says OK, I'm going to tell him that I just sold it even if I didn't. Price he pays for being an a$$hole....
