They’ve been weeding out personnel down here lately. They have this one MFer pilot who flat out failed his polygraph when questions of bribes came up. They also nailed the unit secretary because she was not truthful in her responses when she said that she didn’t know of anyone who had been taking bribes. Corruption is still rampant in this part of the world. They’re gonna kick this pilot out of the program but have found him a job flying the Guatemalan President around because he is very well connected and they are afraid he could cause trouble for the program. My question was “can he talk if he’s in prison”?

Well, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If he's taking bribes from unsavory characters doing that mission, what's to keep him from taking bribes and doing something with the President???

 

He won’t be our problem and will no longer be privy to information is the thought process. This dumb SOB landed a Caravan on a clandestine airstrip, hit every tree that bordered the road, took off, flew to three other sites then returned to Aurora airport in Guatemala City, hopped out of the airplane and went home. The mechanics were like WTF, how did you get all these dents in the leading edge of the wings and where did these branches come from? Next day, he comes into work, says he “might” have brushed some branches but it wasn’t his fault. 80K worth of damage.
