Early afternoon Woodsnitzes. I have retrieved yet another 25 bags of mulch for my stash and the missus joined me in weeding the flowerbeds by the end of the driveway. Breakfast cocktails now!

We had weed block put down when the beds went in, we just need to add a tad bit more river rock to the beds. All the grasses from across the street blow into them when we have north winds.

Russ, good days and bad days. The good days are not as good as they used to be and the bad days are worse than they were. ..All these meds have an effect. Hopefully, the next two procedures will be done within a month and Zeke and I can get up to the lake. I'm sure that'll help.

34 years ago, I put down heavy plastic and what we call "beach stone" , 2" diameter and up. About 10yrs ago, I had to remove it all because, being on Main St, I get a lot of dirt and grit embedded in it and the weeds grow in that. Raked it out, washed it all int the driveway and put it back. I used mulch up the lake for two reasons. One, it was all free and two, #1 son and his helper did all the work. A few weeks ago, he say s " I have to redo all the mulch"....No argument from me....

We’ll keep you in our prayers Al. I have the same issue, a bunch of dirt gets in between the rocks which sound about the same size that I have. Usually pretty low maintenance.

When the airline I werked for decided it didn't need over 90% of its mechanics, besides dumping them it really burned its bridges by selling off a 747 hangar full of tools. I got a $100 zip tie tool for $5, gone through at least a couple 100 tie bags with it since then. Perfect tailless zip ties every time. Closest thing to it on Amazon now is over $200. Seems ridiculous that something so simple could cost so much.

I take stuff to a Goodwill kind of place that sells donations for a Veteran's organization. Not a dealing with the public kind of guy, no way I'd have a garage sale.

The last of the sn*w melted yesterday. Now need a good rain to finish washing the salt into the Mississippi river. Light rain a couple days ago only made the truck filthy, Minnysoda has incredibly dirty air, in this area anyway, a light rain can make the truck look like I was driving on dirt roads. I should say something nice about this state sometime, maybe I will if I can think of something. Maybe this qualifies as nice; I had a choice between here and Atlanta, GA, where I've been many times and each trip there convinced me that no matter how boring it is here, I made the right choice.
