It's been mentioned. But once we taper it back it won't be so scary. That and we're planting Arborvitaes along the top so the visual will not be as intimidating. Worst case scenario, someone drives off they go into the ditch without any damage. But one would have to really screw up to do that. All the driveways on our side of the street are like this. Ours is actually one of the better ones. It's the price you pay for living on a hill with a great view.

Thursday, headed down to Houston to attend a viewing of a grade school friend of mine and his wife who passed within days of each other. His wife was on a liver transplant list and didn’t make it passing last Saturday. My friend, who had uncontrolled diabetes, lost part of his foot, got sepsis and passed on Tuesday. What a tragedy. Preventable. Not sure if I’m taking the bike or the truck. I suppose that depends on if Kristi goes with me or not and if I stay for the full blown mass on Friday. Kristi does not do well in Houston traffic on the bike. I think she hits the Xanax even while riding in the truck down there.

We’re watching Trust No One, The Hunt for the Crypto King on Netflix. It’s pretty interesting

I’ve known the guy since the third grade, his wife since they were married. Had dinner at their home, partied in the Hill Country, hunted in Central Texas together. Something happened to him a few years ago where he got mad at another mutual friend of ours who I’ve known just as long. He stopped speaking to all of us, including other mutual friends I guess on the basis that we were still friends with the one he was mad at. Not sure what happened, figured it wasn’t my business but **** we were friends a long time just to be a little bitch about something. Even my friend who he was mad at doesn’t know what he was mad about. Rumor has it, that those two were raw ******* some hookers in Mexico and maybe my friend caught something and gave it to his wife? Just a rumor.

Anyway, a sad tale. It’ll be good to see the surviving brother and sister to my friend. Have some stories about those two! The first Goldwing I ever rode was the oldest brother’s bike. I remember that driveshaft felt like it was screwing itself up tight before the bike would move. We all got arrested once in Coldspring, TX around 1981 but that’s another tale……
