The youngest grandkid wasn't over his flu Monday after all, I evacuated my g.i. tract last night. Feeling fairly comfortable this evening, just really tired and no appetite. The other grandparents had a Sunday dinner with Daughter's family and they had it Monday. Quarantining grandson joined them Monday evening and got sick around the Oklahoma border. They decided that wouldn't give them much rest that night, so they continued down to Austin and spent today and tonight at a fancy hotel, drive to South Padre Island tomorrow. Not a fun trip for the 12 year old. Whatever this crap is, it sure is contagious and hits fast, first day is way worse than covid was. Carol wanted me to go somewhere with her next week, but seeing as how long the kid was infecting people, I told her at least two more weeks, 3 would be even better. Audrey said the bad part was the first 12 hours, then a long slow recovery. The other grandparents said them too.

 

After putting a couple cops in prison, Minyapolis and surrounding suburbs aren't having much luck recruiting cops. One cop involved with recruiting said people don't like the idea their employer will go after them more than the perps if an arrest goes sideways. Even $10,000 sign up bonuses aren't getting much action.
