Chuck, when we built our new house, one of the things I insisted on was an 18 foot double car garage opening instead of the standard 16 foot double opening. In addition, we have a 10 foot single garage door instead of the standard 8 foot opening. We prepared as much as possible for the blue haired, poor sighted drivers (that live here) as much as possible.
