Halito Bill, Larry, Al, Marcus, Chuck, Greg, Mick, and any Woodys I missed. Active bunch today!
Happy Birthday Mrs. Chuck. Cold start...low 20's and maybe into low 30's today. No snow tho....at least I hope not.
Basketball game today.... playing Purdue. Could be a long afternoon for me! But I will not give up on my Spartans. They are number 2 or 3 in my heart. Family of course number 1, bike may be #2, but depends on season. Sports vs bike...toughie!!!
But you guys have a great Saturday. Be careful out there. Lurker out.....

Good morning all. I ran into some old friends I used to ride with back in the 80's and early 90's. One invited us to a Low County boil today. He lives on the water down in Apollo Beach. We will be headed down this afternoon. A lot of the old crew are suppose to be there so I am looking forwarding to seeing them, talking about the good times and making another memory. Everyone ride safe.

Don't be shocked if you are the only one who has remained youthful and dewy, Jeff.

So this just in - looks like I'm getting downsized Monday.

My boss/friend called me at the end of the day yesterday. He's very respectful of vacation time so I knew it must be important so I picked up. Apparently the three of us have separate meetings with his boss and HR on Monday. The meeting is entitled "Company Name" Organizational Changes. Hmmmmm......not a lot of mystery there.

This could be fantastic news. It means I would get a full severance starting Monday, which gives me a full month before I start the new job, all paid and then some. The one Sword of Damocles is that I don't "officially" have the new job. Yes, an offer was made and accepted. But the background check has to come through clean as well as the drug test. Yes, there is absolutely no reason I shouldn't pass both of those. I've even gone through that process at my current employer, but they already came back to me with some mistakes regarding the business I ran that I closed down 8 years ago, so I know they can make mistakes.

My preference would have been to get the official nod before leaving my current situation. But if it all comes together, which I can't imagine why it wouldn't, I'm way ahead this way.
