TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
If I had to order one and wait 4-5 months (as I was told before all this crap happened) I probably wouldn't get one.

Get our noses in too much, could have Syrian refuges fleeing Europe back to Syria. I feel sorry for the Ukrainians, don't see any good news for them coming out of this.
I am in the camp that thinks we are saber rattlers and nothing else in this matter.

Surprisingly, it's never been disassembled. Worst I've done to it is adjust the valves. Not the first bike I've had that could use a valve tweak every oil change, but I've gotten used to the rattle...
Boring news of the day - just signed up with Hagerty for classic bike insurance on the BMW. I dropped it off at the shop to get a final once over before we move. I rolled it into a (literal) barn with about 50 other old bikes and thought "Damn....how do I know that one of these bikes won't fry it's wiring and light this place up?"
The bike was covered under my umbrella policy, but almost certainly not for it's full value. So I figured I better get stated value to be sure. I learned a hard lesson on that when a 76 BMW car I had restored was stolen. I got pennies on the dollar, which really sucked.
