TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Good afternoon Woods , today is my last day of sunshine and warm temperatures for the next two weeks. Tomorrow morning I fly back to the frozen north ☹️. And from all I’m told about what it’s like rendering care to my mother at her assisted living location, I’m not looking forward to it. My mother is a terrible patient, he waffles between somewhat glad you’re there to you’re the devil sent to torture her. Each day I’m supposed to be there by 2:30 pm and I can leave after she goes to bed around 9 pm. During that time she receives a nonstop medication regiment to battle all the symptoms of her Parkinson’s disease. They are powerful drugs and the administration of which is like trying to dance on the head of a pin. My siblings have agreed of a schedule of care coverage ( demanded by the facility) that requires each of the four of us to take a week a month, this will be my February and March duties. All this info is an ad hoc request to the Woods to keep us in your thoughts. That is all, over and out.

Damn, sorry Chuck. On a brighter note, the insurance company just called. My long term disability is approved
Sorry to hear of the situation Chuck. Sending positive vibes and prayers your way. I can relate to caretaking.
On another note - Congrats to officially retired with disability John ......

Thinking about you Chuck. I went through a very similar situation with my mother. She also had Parkinson's so I know what you are going through.
