Boones Farm ?
Morning Bob and Wooderstons !
Cold here.
Junior year of high school. Biology field trip. Cooler full of Boones Farm. permission given to drive my car and not ride the bus. No biology specimens collected. Many friendships solidified. Flunked field trip exam.
Spoke with a local vintner not long ago who said that is becoming more prevalent and will eventually be the norm. Less costly and proven to not alter the wine....Cork Snobs die hard.
Yeah, the days are gone when a real cork indicates the starting point for a palatable wine. In our experience the screw tops started with Pinot Noirs for some reason. That and Sauvignon Blanc. The other wines that still have corks are almost always synthetic now. Which is strange because supposedly studies show that real cork is more environmentally friendly than the alternative.
