Poured salt on my cul de sac again today, lot of slush, now it's cold enough to freeze salt water and the inch or so of snow is irregular ice; which is worse? Someday people will look back on salted roads and think people sure didn't have much sense back then. Millions of years of vehicle use rotted away, thousands of bridges not lasting half as long as they should have, and thousands (millions?) of accidents on frozen salt water. If this is the best humans can do, we're not as smart as we think we are.

Morning, Al and Bill.
After cleaning off about 5" of snow, it's off to shuffle.

Nice, Al. I could actually use something like that at my place.

If you don't get a lot of big snowfalls, the small single stage ones work great up to 6" or so... a lot cheaper too.

We get a couple big ones a year. For 95% of my snows, my single stage works fine. A 2 wide+ driveway on a corner lot can be a lot of work. And I do a couple neighbors as well, one a single Mom, the other have major health issues. So sometimes a bigger 2 stage is tempting.
