TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
I was behind a BMW sport touring bike this evening when I went to pick up dinner. Couldn't say which model, had turn signals in the bags, and quad exhaust tips. Noisy for a Beemer. Got a side view and it reminded me of a Yamaha FJR1300.
There's a bunch of mumbo jumbo explanations but the end result is it removes "stiction" (an actual word) from fork tubes sliding into each other, and reduces brake dive. It's hardly a new concept. It goes all the way back to the leading link forks that were around way back when. It's a really good system, but telescopic forks were easily mass produced and worked better for conventional bike design.

Changed a few of those. I think Urals can run longer than a helicopter without falling apart.
