Good morning gentlemen.
I haven't been brave enough to venture into this thread in the past, but felt it necessary today. I just learned that forum member and former frequent poster here AllenW passed away yesterday. Doesn't look like he's been active for a year or so, but I'm sure some of you remember him.
I met Al back in 2012 through this forum when he posted in the Dyna section looking for advice to add some power to his then new Wide Glide. I had just installed new cams in mine so I chimed in. Ended up meeting him and his wife Lori at a local bar and have been friends ever since.
Al always had plenty of stories to tell about growing up and had a perfect "grumpy old man" sense of humor. I'm about 25 years younger than he was so I loved hearing about life in the 70s tearing around on a Sporty with a long fork and not having a care in the world.
I don't have any specifics yet on his passing, but just thought I should share it here.
Al on his Wide Glide probably 5-6 years ago after installing bars and longer fork tubes. He definitely had a sense for fashion.

Thanks for posting those pics of Al. I and a few other forum members were lucky enough to have drinks and dinner with Al on a few occasions and we knew of his stents last year was it? I saw Lori’s post on FB but still have yet to see notice of services information. Perhaps you can keep us informed, I’m sure some of us would like to send our condolences.

Morning snow was just a thin layer of tiny snowflakes almost like sleet. Just enough to be slick, but my vehicles just slept in the driveway anyway. Looked foggy coming down around 7:30. Now to see what y'all have been saying this morning.

Before she started school, my daughter liked to have chili for breakfast, but she liked it cold. She prefers it hot and spicy now. Don't know if she has it for breakfast anymore, but I still do occasionally. Sometimes I just feel like putting whatever's in the fridge in the microwave instead of cooking, any meal of the day. I would have taken any time off, pay or not, the last several years I worked, did not like working there any more.
