I'm trying to come up with a cute response but it would only parallel what you said...

Russ, this was the low setting. I even covered it in a blanket to get away from some of the heat. My skin just got too sensitive for the lowest setting, which is clearly too high.

Studded tires were the hot set up back in the early 70's. I recall studding a bunch of tires for people. Had a special stand, snow tires had small holes for studs, and a stud gun to install. But DOT decided they tore up the pavement too much around here, so they banned them. I did stud up some tires for one of my Husky's and we went ice racing. Didn't fair too well for me. I high sided coming around one of the corners and landed on my left shoulder and broke a collar bone. I guess that was the end of my ice racing career!! I still have a coffee can full of ice screws if anyone wants them!

Oh yeah....just got done clearing the last 2-3 inches of snow this morning. Hopefully I'm done for a few days.
BUT.....we're one day closer to spring. Regardless of what Pauxataney Phil says.

After I posted that I thought that would come back to bite men ... *******' was waiting on the snow covered side streets waiting for a slow car to come then grabbing the rear bumper and sliding for a ride ... It was a pretty common practice in our neighborhood ... Not smart but common
