Got first computer when my daughter was in kindergarten - had a little Apple 'puter in the classroom and I figured I needed one to be able to keep up and help her as school progressed. Was going to get an Apple, but in a 'puter store a savy sales clerk said look at the soft ware shelves first. A short row of Apple stuff, a wall of PC stuff. Didn't get an Apple. She was 6 or 7 when I got a game called Mario Teaches Typing, top half of the screen a simple Mario brothers game, bottom half finger outlines and the needed key would light up in the correct fingertip. Game started out at whatever speed you hit the right key, but soon sped up. In less than an hour she was clocked at 40 words per minute and in a few days was over 60 wpm and not looking at the fingers anymore and in the 80 to 100 wpm range by Junior High. She probably would have gotten there eventually, but that game gave her a hell of a boost till high school, none of her friends came close. I think she got tired of the game in a month or two, got too easy for her, but it was worth it. Funny I distinctly remember her typing speeds but not what I had for lunch two days ago.

Some time back I watched a youtube video of a scooter race course in some Southeast Asian country, seems they have tracks anybody can pay to ride their scoots on, and have organized races, too. No straights, all very tight curves. One of the races had some guys on sport bikes way faster than a scoot, but the scoots were so nimble they'd leave the bikes behind on that track of squiggles.

My boss try their best but they fail miserably. This snow fall will be a sure reality’s of that statement. Instead of trucking the snow to an adjacent property he mapped out areas in the terminal 3 to be exact for snow piles. Back hoe usually makes a good 18 foot by 18 foot pile by 18 foot high pile which is there til may. Melting then refreezing making an ice rink. Instead of just getting rid of it. What a dope.
