TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
We’re through the ‘Rona here. Kristi was sick for about 4 days and is feeling better. I was only down about a day and a half. Then she tries to tell me I need a booster and I say what the heck for? The neighbors were vaxxed and boosted and still got it. We’re both vaxxed.
Marital harmony. Think.

About 3am, dogs next door go nuts, don't stop barking for over half an hour. 3:35am, all the motion lights in the house go on. Take steel encouragement out of nightstand drawer and check, nobody there, must be the gremlins again. Notice clocks are all blinking, ok, power was off briefly. Might as well have a cuppa. Put mug of water in microwave, turn on, it groans; low voltage, no coffee. Check 'puter battery backup, reading 104 instead of 120V. Double check with V meter, yep, low voltage.
Refridgerator tries to come on about this time, doesn't sound right. Unplug fridge, both freezers and a battery charger. Dogs quit barking. Back in bed, hour later dogs wake me up again, cuss dogs and then the furnace comes on (thermostat shuts off with low V). Dogs quit in a minute this time, water goes in microwave, hot cereal on stove (which also didn't work on low V), check temp: 56 degrees. Not bad considering it's 14 below outside. If the linemen had to fix something outside, they sure earned their pay this morning. I can't imagine working on a pole in this weather. Life in the frozen north...
