TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
K, well I'm gonna try to get to HD on Friday, assuming they're open. If I do, I'll get some there I guess. The brakes are great, especially compared to the Springer. Just didn't know of there was a better option.

Chris here’s my . OEM pads have never squealed on me, they don’t make a considerable amount of dust and they stop good. My only criticism is they didn’t give you a lot of material right out of the box. I’m sure that’s so you have to buy them more frequently 🤬

So... At 16k on the bike now, I'm down to my last bit of brake pad. I'm looking to replace them. I have been searching and came across these:

I think I'll start next year by spending the day in the house. It will be about 86 degrees warmer that night.
G'Evening, Woods...took Mama, Zeke and g'kids to a golf course about 25 miles away. They put up a 2 1/4 mile route through the course with thousands of animated and static displays and thousand tree all lit up. Absolutely spectacular. Can't imagine the cost of doing that and the time it takes. Nice thing is that they take several nights and give $5 out of $30 entry fee to local charity organizations. Well worth the ride.

I use either EBC or Lyndall gold pads. If you want the best brakes I've ever ridden with - Brembo. Not cheap when you're talking calipers, too. My 883 didn't have enough miles for noticeable wear on the pads, but they sucked, that was the worst stopping bike I've ever ridden. Stopped pretty good when I put EBCs on it. Can't honestly say the Lyndalls were responsible for the big improvement on my 1200, it's pads were worn pretty good when I got it, probably anything new would have been better. Got a mix of EBC and Lyndall for the two hangar queens, too, EBCs on the Hondas. The Ural has a Brembo on front, wouldn't dream of putting anything else on it.
