I didn't get the job. They had an inside candidate, like I thought. No winning that one. The guy was sincere and told me it was very close and he would recommend me for other areas, which he did. I could have applied, and likely won, a spot in Little Rock. But having lived 200 miles from there, I know it's not what I was looking for. And Cheryl said no way, which I need to respect. And hell, I want her to find a great job so I can retire. That's more likely to happen in Scottsdale than Little Rock.

I talked to my boss and we talked through some ideas that would keep me at my current employer and reduce the stress. Part of which is the green light to live anywhere we want. So we'll forge ahead with our plan.

Thanks Greg. I'm glad I have my answer. Now I can move on to other things. Truth is I was 50/50 on the job. As frustrating as my work can be, I have it pretty easy. I have a boss who I can trust and be honest with. I get paid ok. And the truth is, I work very few hours for the most part. Sure, that can be offset by months when I have a lot of travel. But my everyday schedule is pretty light. Some days I barely work for 2 hours. And from home, so there's that. The devil you know I guess. Oh, and as a bonus, the bitch that threw me under the bus last week is likely getting canned, well, for being a bitch. She's in the 30 day cool off to decide if she wants to be "re-educated" or take a severance. The catch is, if you take the re-education option, you forfeit your severance if you fail. And not 1 single person has passed. So she's gone.

So in the end I get what I want with less hassle. Will it last? Who knows? But I can at least ride it out in warmer weather while it lasts.

And with that - I'm out! Night all!

Haha...if that's the case, they're probably not home.
