Evening Greg!

The question should be "What am I NOT building?" Today's efforts were focused on crown molding and floor molding in the boys (former) rooms. But I'm also rebuilding the deck as shown on the right. Just out of the frame is a treasure trove of green treated plywood - 6 sheets of 5/8ths. Then all that green treated you see on top of the garage. All told I'm into that deck for $1000 in lumber.

Ran Metzelers on the King, will put those on the blue bike too. Traction is important. The Dunlops last forever because the tire compounds are hard. I prefer a softer tire with reduced mileage because the coefficient of traction is higher on the softer tires. Left over from sport bike days I guess but I have always seen tires as a consumable.

I've never had grip issues with AEs. I believe they are a dual compound tire with soft on the sides and hard in the middle. In rain I felt they were better than the MCIIs I ran once. I just didn't like them much.

Considered the Metzelers.

Thats because you don’t ride like I do. Ha! I found that they can get “greasy” at times under work.

Drift cars use harder (than R compound) compound tires for that reason. I like to have a lot of warning as to when a tire will break loose.
