37° and still a bit breezy here. Brrrr.

 

The big thunderstorm made some noise and rained about 15 minutes, not hard, and that was it. Supposed to get windy midnite and after, not part of the storm. The big snowstorm missed us and went north. Lot of activity around me, so far this seems a bit like the eye of a hurricane only it didn't move. I'm not complaining, if the power stays on and there's no twisters, good enough for me. Oh yeah, and if it doesn't snow.

Deep freeze starts tomorrow, highs in the 20's for a bit. The 60 plus today did clear my driveway, but still plenty of sn*w in the yard, that was kinda disappointing. Just hope the truck isn't covered in ice tomorrow. Going to downtown Minny tomorrow evening, been a few years and woodn't bother me if I never saw the place again, But it's some kind of shindig about Audrey's new appointment in a realestate association and she'll be giving a speech, so Dad oughta go. At least it should be interesting to see the building, a huge 9 story timber thing over 100 years old that's supposed to have some pretty big rooms. Found this pic on the 'net, I might remember to take some there. The other grandpa is driving the old folks in his Expedition so at least I don't have to worry about driving in that downtown maze, full of one way streets.

G'Morning, Woods....50* already, going up to 60* today

 

mornin' woods....welp in a nutter 11 business days I will no longer drive for the freight company......just a forklift and outside temperature for the next year at a discounted rate than what I'm getting paid now....but no more traffic and no more stress elevated by a dipshit dispatcher....8 hour days err nights home just after midnight, mon.thru friday....saturday off sunday off and half of monday.....those are my weekends now
