It was 75 today which made the ride to Ft Sill a delight.
Stunned at the turnout....about 75 bikes, 50 cars and 2 busses of active duty Army.
A classmate of the deceased , a retired Captain, who attended 2 flight schools with him gave an incredible eulogy.

A nephew saw the info on social media and attended. Other than that, no mention of family.
When the Honor Guard removed the flag it was sad to see his coffin was a cardboard box.

Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but aren't vets cremated when interred in National Cemeteries? I know my folks were when buried at Ft. Logan.
