Default new fuel tank issues.

I purchased a 2012 street glide tank to replace my 2006 Road King tank. What kind of problems am I looking at to make it work?

Thanks for the link, Chuck. There is one for sale in the classifieds along with the luggage rack. But if they won't work together, I'm not sure I want to get them. I have a PM to the guy.

Considering there was a major frame change in 2009, the mounting points may be completely different. Also, the internals (fuel pump, etc.) from your 2006 may not fit, and if it came with all that stuff, the electrical system will probably not match.
I'm not saying it can't be done, but it may turn into more work than you realize.
I guess the best way to find out is to start swapping parts and see what happens and where it leads you.

Sounds like it might fall under the category of "if you throw enough money at it, everything could work"

Yeah...they weren't cheap to build but weren't stupidly expensive. I'm sure I could have done them a lot cheaper but I'm kinda OCD on some stuff..
