TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Evening Lou and Greg. What’s guilt Chris? I’m like Tim on the back of my Road King, singing proud brother, the only way to go!
Hey Russ, Lou....heated harley grips on all my bikes and never had a problem with any of them. Had cheap set of whatevers on the Ural and they were HOT. External wiring made them kinda ugly , so they matched the bike.
That was a short…..
I've seen mixed reviews, but mostly positive on the heated grips. I figure I ride all year round. They might be nice. I have a heated liner but no heat for my hands. I got some Christmas money and saved enough to get them with it. All my bike parts come from selling things or saving here and there lol.
BTW, the garish seat I had (in my sig pic) is gone too. Sold for damn near what I paid.

Before I took it apart (I have done a little bit of getting it back together since), I had the opportunity of following a sportster for a little while with my Tour Glide, and the floorboards got sharpened a bit trying to keep up. But yeah, it's easier handling than the 1200, even if floorboard limited in the corners. Sportsters are kind of crude compared to today's motorcycle offerings, but that's part of their charm.
