TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
the word '' bid'' is a term for work assignment.....jeeeeeesh.
The SS1000 was a game changer for BMW. Maybe the most significant one in the history of the company save for the advent of the GS back in the 80s. Everyone thought BMW was insane to make a liter bike to go against the big 4. "It will be too heavy, too slow and too expensive." Sound familiar? (hint - Pan America). Well BMW (and HD) proved everyone wrong - it's the best liter bike you can buy. It will turn a good rider into a superhero with all the electronic gizmos and loads of power (around 200 hp). The 2010 you posted is a totally different bike form the new version. But it will flatten your eyeballs. if anything it is more race track oriented and not for the casual rider. In short, it can kill you fast.
Even though you lost your opportunity, you can get this bike - https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a3...ycle-for-sale/ that set the latest record at 32 hours and some change. Less $$ and it's in Texas! It should be in a museum. Or impounded.

So...... if you Win the bid, do you Lose ?
Bob, the **** swab is not an option at Cal Poly.
Sorta. I have to register twice a week. Each time they give me thingy to scan on my phone so I can be tracked when I take my bi weekly PCR covid test. You dont have to get tested if you are vaccinated because vaccinated people dont spread covid...
